The Cancer Research shop on West Street, in Horsham, has hosted a tea party to celebrate the charity’s 10th anniversary.
The day of fundraising was based on an Alice in Wonderland-style tea party, and raised £150 for research into cancer.
Clare Hartfield, manager at the shop, said: “It was such a fun day, we have a good team of volunteers and we couldn’t do it without their help. The support from the public has been amazing too.”
Clare and volunteers dressed up for the day. Members of the public were offered cupcakes, tea and party food as a thank you for their support. Customers could also take part in a tombola.
The shop is looking to hire a fundraising volunteer to help organise more events like the tea party.
If you can spare a few hours a week and are able to call, email and meet people to help with the planning, contact Clare on 01403 210838.
