Atlantis swimmers won five medals, including three golds, in the County Championships at the K2, Crawley.

Kate Windle, 11, Beth Britton, 12, and Ella Windle, 13, all won their age groups to pick up gold medals in the 800m.

After a whole season out of competition last year due to injury, Yasmin Hooker, 13, continued her return to the top by picking up a bronze medal.

A delighted Edward Hundleby, 12, earned a bronze medal in the very tough 1,500m, while George Charter, 13, also achieved a personal best time.

Buoyant head coach Bill Penny said: “I am really pleased we have started our county campaign so strongly.

“The whole team – swimmers and coaches alike – have been working really hard ahead of this year’s championships and I am looking forward to the rest of the competition.”
